John Oster

John Oster is an arts management professional with extensive experience managing Indigenous arts organisations.

John has worked on remote Indigenous communities managing Warlayirti Artists at Balgo as well as the Mowanjum Community near Derby WA. For the past seven years he was the Executive Officer at Desart, the peak representative body for Indigenous artists in central Australia.

He has worked extensively in the formative development of the Code since its beginning in 2005.

As well as his work with the Code, John is a Director of Regional Arts Australia and serves on the Art Market Professional panel at Copyright Australia Ltd.
