Keiana Bateman a proud strong Walbanja - Yuin woman from the Far South Coast. Born and raised on Gumbaynggirr Country in Nyambaga (Nambucca Heads) where I have resided since birth. Being a saltwater woman I am connected through the waterways, the ocean and rivers which inspires my me to create my stories which reflect in my paintings.

I am a contemporary Aboriginal artist where my paintings reflect my connection to our land and waters which incorporate our stories and culture.

My unique style is brought to life by using bright, uplifting colours onto the canvases which ingrates our two worlds of traditional with a modern contemporary twist that is visually captivating which you are left to explore all the intricate details and symbols that all have a significant meaning and purpose.

I am deeply passionate about my art and want to share my culture and history with the world through my art and bring a stronger appreciation and compassionate understanding of my people.
