Kachina Davidson
Kachina Davidson is a proud Yorta Yorta and Wiradjuri woman. She is a 3rd generation Indigenous Artist, following in the footsteps of her Mother (Glenis) and Grandfather (Clyde). The latter, growing up on the Cummeragunja Mission on the Murray River, before moving to Tasmania in his early twenties.
Kachina was born in Hobart, Tasmania. She lived there until 2014, when she and her husband moved to the Hunter Valley, NSW (Wonnarua Country).
Kachina has been painting since 2021 - working in a contemporary style. She primarily paints in acrylic on canvas. Her works are bold and unique, drawing inspiration from the diverse, native flora and fauna of Australia, as well as its striking landscape and geology.
