I am a proud Nyigampaa–Wiradjuri woman. Born on the Kalari (Lachlan river) and have called Dharawal and Yuin Country home for the past 26 years while raising my 3 beautiful children. I have worked in the community service sector my entire adult life in Aboriginal Health, Aged Care, NDIS, and Social & Emotional Well-being. My weaving techniques have been taught by many Elder women in my working journey through Aboriginal communities of Eora, Tharawal, Amaroo, Jannali, Illawarra: Coomaditchie, Shoalhaven: Jerrinja & Wreck Bay, and Wallaga Lake. I respect and honour the many generations of Aboriginal women before me, for their knowledge, strength and resilience, and it’s because of them that I am able to share my weaving, in revitalisation and preservation of our cultural practices.
